About us:

SMTCT is a registered trust, working for the welfare of Dhat Maheshwari Samaj since last 25 years. The humble yet determined journey started with few like minded people coming together who wanted to contribute towards betterment of the community and today more the 70 members are working to achieve the goal set.

SMTCT aims for overall growth and balance of its community by creating an environment of social togetherness through its various events and activities. The trust regularly organizes social gatherings during important festivals like Diwali, Navratri and Mahesh Navmi.

Key activities undertaken by the trust for the betterment of the community are:

  • Offering financial help to needy widows from Dhat Maheshwari Samaj throughout India. As a result more then 55 widows already are it's beneficiaries
  • Providing interest free loan of upto Rs. 50000 per year to needy students for pursuing higher education. This is achieved by working in association with Gopani Educational Trust and already 72 students have benefited from this endeavor
  • Medical help of upto Rs. 25000 is provided to needy patients
  • Organizing indoor and outdoor sports activities regularly to develop talent and foster healthy competition and sportsman spirit in participants
  • Recognizing and encouraging deserving students who achieve good results in education

The primary objectives of the trust are:

  • Integrate the entire Maheshwari community on a single platform and foster communication amongst community members
  • Inspire Maheshwari youth to connect with their community and develop a positive outlook
  • Maintain a comprehensive and updated database of registered community members
  • Organize community welfare events for addressing social, educational, medical and economic issues
  • Ensure socio-economic transformation social and cultural activities
  • Nurture and encourage young talent for upliftment of their education, knowledge, health, spirituality and character
